The TBR Double Dog Dare

Double dog dare

January 1, 2013 to April 1, 2013

For the third year James, with the help of Dakota, has stepped up to organize the dare.  The goal of The TBR Double Dog Dare is to reduce the size of your TBR stack, to read those books you’ve had for years and always meant to get around to reading one day.  Books you own before 1/1/13, books you’ve requested from the library before 1/1/13, books you have ordered but not yet received by 1/1/13, you get the idea.

Last year I read 26 books off my TBR stack between January and April.  This year I’m aiming for 28, starting with:

#1 Osiris by E.J. Swift

#2  Bring Up The Bodies by Hilary Mantel

#3  Ivyland by Miles Klee

#4 Pure by Julianna Baggott

#5 I Have Waited and You Have Come by Martine McDonagh

# 6 The Goat Women of Largo Bay by Gillian Royce

#7 To Say Nothing Of The Dog by Connie Willis

#8 Childhood’s End by Arthur C. Clarke

#9 Still Forms on Foxfield by Joan Slonczewski

#10 Emotional Geography by Linda Gillard

#11 Fountain of Age by Nancy Kress

#12 Synners by Pat Cadigan

#13 Learning to Swim by Sara J. Henry

#14 Quiet by Susan Cain

#15 The Freedom Maze by Delia Sherman

#16 The Buenos Aires Quintet by Manuel Vazguez Montalban

#17 The Last Town on Earth by Thomas Mullen

#18 The Magician King by Lev Grossman

#19 Jerusalem by Guy Delisle

#20 Dark Lord of Derkholm by Diana Wynne Jones

#21-23 Runaways Volume 1, 3 and 6 by Brian Vaughan
