Gone missing?

It has been over a month since my last post.  I’ve been traveling, spending time outside away from my computer and dealing with a minor health issue.  I have also been reading, loving what I read and finding it difficult to write about the books I’ve finished.  You can see the books on Goodreads.  My user name is Gavin9.

Even with all that keeping me busy, it is obvious to me that I’m just not into keeping up with this blog.  I am reading your posts,  finding time to visit your blogs and sometime leave comments.   I will continue to do so.  I hope to revive my poetry blog and occasionally I post something on tumblr, so you are welcome to visit those place.  For now be well, be happy and keep reading!

I hope you are okay. The one instance where time seems to fly is when you are away from your own blog. I meant to take a day or two off and before I knew it, a week went by. It’s certainly easy enough to do. Hope everything is good.

  2. I hope your health issue is very minor indeed! And that it gets sorted out very quickly. I miss your posts but I definitely understand how it can be relaxing to move away from book blogging.

  3. I’m thinking good thoughts for you, and that all is well. I’ve taken more breaks from the blog this year than I ever have before. It just takes up a lot of time in a life that is already jammed pack with reality. I have noticed that many of my “old blogging friends” that I’ve been following a long time have dropped off. That is the way it goes.

    • Thanks, Sandy. You were one of my first blogging buddies and I don’t know how you keep up. Your life seems crammed to bursting! I will stay in touch.

  4. I think sometimes you just need a rest from it. One of my other blogging buddies recently took a year out from it all. She lost the desire to read even! But now she’s enjoying it all over again. It sounds like you’re having a good time with your travel and reading and I hope your health issue is very minor indeed. Take care and hopefully you’ll return to blogging once you’ve had a good break.
    Lynn :D

    • Thanks, Lynn. I am still reading, just not finding the world or the time to write about what I’m reading. I will still be checking all my favorite blogs!

  5. I’ve been away from my blogs for weeks so I understand the feeling. I hope your health issue goes away soon. Those things can be annoying at best and frightful at worst. Thanks for giving us an update.

  6. Good to hear from you! My health is better every day and now I are getting ready for returning students. I am still following all my favorite blogs:) Scooters and skateboards???

  7. I was wondering what had happened, so I’m glad to hear you are doing well and reading lots, Gavin. I know what it’s like to not be able to post, to find that life takes you out of that place – I’ve been absent a lot recently too on mine. I do hope you will come back, but these are supposed to be fun, not a job, so mostly wish for you to get healthy and be happy :-)

  8. Since I’ve become a semi-retired blogger, I certainly understand. Thanks for the many, many posts I’ve enjoyed reading here. I hope you’ll stop by Ready When You Are, C.B. now and then.

  9. Gavin,
Would you be interested in a Proust Read-Along for Vol. II of In Search of Lost Time: Within A Budding Grove? It’s going to be real slow, like from now till the end of November. Just posted about this. Hope to have you join us again. ;)

    • Arti, thanks for the invitation but I am over booked for reading as it is. Too many TBR books from the library! I will be watching your progress with Proust!

  10. *smiles* and wishes for whatever cures what ails ya. Keep reading. I’ve been reading a ton but not blogging much, myself…

  11. I do believe all of the ideas you’ve introduced in your post.
They are very convincing and will certainly work. Nonetheless, the posts are very short for newbies.
Could you please extend them a bit from next time?
    Thank you for the post.
